Fall Sapphire Physical Therapy News Update

Fall is here and despite the smoky skies and record heat, summer was and exciting time at Sapphire Physical Therapy. Our physical therapy staff was busy evaluating and treating motivated individuals aged nine to ninety in our recently expanded gym.

Rylin Fox, DPT was hired this summer and specializes in orthopedics and manual therapy. Erin Williams, DPT will join the staff this fall and specializes in orthopedics and vestibular treatment. Bailey and Evie continue to promote Sapphire PT through their marketing efforts and will begin an eight-week fall Runners Strengthening Class next week. Holly Warner, DPT continues to meet the injury needs of Missoula’s athletes, and Jesse Dupre, DPT continues to utilize his manual therapy skills to help patients of all ages. We hired two new medical receptionists (Aimee and Amanda) to better serve our customers, and our reception area is undergoing a facelift for better efficiency. John continues to grow the custom orthotic portion of the business, and he will move into a larger office adjacent to the on-site orthotic shop next month to meet the regional orthotic demand.

In 2021 we resumed post-race consults and recovery massage as part of our Runners Edge Events sponsorship. The Rut was the culmination of a long-awaited return to the finest mountain running event in America. Over 2500 runners converged in Big Sky, Montana over Labor Day weekend under ideal conditions. With the help of several University of Montana physical therapy students, we worked on over 350 runners and shared in their stories of challenge and excitement.

Fall presents new challenges for the Missoula community as more and more of our friends and loved ones test positive for COVID. The health and vitality of our community depends on our ability to act responsibly. The Sapphire PT staff will continue to wear masks to do our part to prevent the spread of COVID. Our staff is fully vaccinated and we urge you to get vaccinated as well. Vaccination represents the best possible step as a community to address the COVID pandemic.
