Integrative Dry Needling Services

WHAT IS INTEGRATIVE DRY NEEDLING?

Integrative dry needling (IDN) is based in part on ancient acupuncture needling methods AND modern neurophysiology and cellular biology to facilitate healing.

It consists of the use of thin filament needles to stimulate healing of tissue. The insertion of the needle creates a cascade of input to the spinal cord and brain, signaling the body to activate the self-healing mechanisms to restore tissue healing and body homeostasis.

WHO IS IDN FOR?

Dry needling is indicated for a variety of conditions, including:

  • Acute athletic injury

  • Chronic overuse symptoms

  • Edema reduction

  • Low back and neck pain

  • Limited and/or painful range of motion in extremity joints

How does IDN work with physical therapy?

Dry needling in conjunction with therapeutic exercise is effective in reducing musculoskeletal pain as you work toward achieving your goals.
